Travel to Türkiye

In most cases, you will need a valid passport to enter Türkiye. Citizens of many countries may enter Türkiye visa-free for short stays, or obtain an e-visa prior to travel, depending on nationality.

Arrival in İzmir

İzmir is served by İzmir Adnan Menderes International Airport (ADB), which offers direct and connecting flights from many international destinations.

From the airport to Alsancak:

·         İZBAN suburban train → Direct connection to Alsancak Station (approx. 25–30 minutes)

·         Taxi → Approx. 30–40 minutes, depending on traffic

·         Airport shuttle (Havaş) → Available to city center stops

📍 The venue is located in the heart of Alsancak, within walking distance of hotels, restaurants, cafés, and the seaside promenade.

 Alsancak + 5–7 minutes walk

·         Tram:
İzmir Tram (Konak Line), Stop:
 Alsancak / Cumhuriyet Square + short walk

Multiple city bus lines stop near Alsancak and Konak districts

Widely available throughout the city

Main Attractions Near the Venue

·         Kordon Promenade:
İzmir’s iconic seaside walkway, perfect for walking, socializing, and enjoying sunset views.

·         Alsancak District:
A lively area filled with cafés, restaurants, bookshops, and cultural venues.

·         Konak Square & Clock Tower:
One of İzmir’s most famous landmarks, easily accessible by tram or ferry.

·         Kemeraltı Bazaar:
A historic open-air market offering local food, crafts, and shopping experiences.

·         İzmir Harbour & Ferry Lines:
Scenic ferry rides across İzmir Bay, connecting Karşıyaka, Konak, and Alsancak.

Your Presentation on a USB

Please save your presentation on a USB flash drive and bring it with you to your paper session at TAOM 2026.

AV Facilities at the Venue

All session rooms are equipped with:

·         Desktop PC

·         Projector or large display screen

·         Standard audio-visual equipment

Internet Access

Wireless internet access will be available throughout the Rectorate Building during the conference.

Network details will be announced on-site and at the registration desk.

Eduroam

Eduroam is available at Dokuz Eylül University.

If your home institution is part of the Eduroam network, you may connect using:

·         Your university email address

·         Your university password

Registration Desk Working Hours:

·         31 August 2026 – Monday: 09:00 – 17:30

·         1 September 2026 – Tuesday: 09:00 – 18:00

·         2 September 2026 – Wednesday: 09:00 – 18:00

·         3 September 2026 – Thursday: 09:00 – 17:00

·         4 September 2026 – Friday: 09:00 – 12:00

Catering During TAOM 2026

·         Morning and afternoon tea & coffee breaks will be provided on-site.

·         Lunch (hot and cold options) will be served at designated areas within the venue.

Alsancak offers a wide variety of dining options within walking distance:

·         Local Turkish cuisine

·         Seafood restaurants along the coast

·         International restaurants and cafés

·         Bakeries, bistros, and casual eateries

Waste and Recycling on Campus

Recycling and waste bins are available throughout the building and campus.
Please help us maintain a clean and sustainable conference environment.

Welfare / Respite Areas

Outdoor spaces and nearby seaside areas are available for fresh air, informal meetings, and relaxation between sessions.

 

About TAOM Association

Our association, which was founded on 27.02.2023 under the name of “Management Academy Association”, is named as “Y.A.D.” and its headquarters is in Ankara. No other branch of the association will be opened. The purpose of the association is to create a common discussion, development and communication platform for individuals and institutions interested in education or practices in the field of management and organization, either academically or professionally.
