TAOM 2025
Dear Researchers
Submitted papers should not have been previously presented at any other event, nor should they have been published or accepted for publication elsewhere. Works currently under peer review should not have been published either in print or online before TAOM 2025.
Participating researchers are expected to demonstrate meticulous work throughout the entire research process, including designing, implementing, analyzing, reporting, and presenting their findings. Upholding research integrity requires careful consideration at every stage, from the initial design and execution to the analysis, interpretation of results, and retention of data. Moreover, it is essential for researchers to clearly highlight both the limitations and contributions of their findings within the discussion section of their research.
The following submission types will be considered as part of TAOM 2025:
1. Paper Submission
Submission Process:
The submission process for TAOM 2025 should adhere to the following guidelines:
Each paper can only be submitted to one interest group (IG).
Papers can be written in Turkish or English. For papers in Turkish, English version of the abstract and key words should also be included.
The abstracts should be max. 200 words. There must be at least 5 keywords.
Extended abstracts (at least 3000 words, including tables, figures and references) or full papers are accepted.
An author can participate in the annual meeting with a maximum of two papers.
Three reviewers will assess each paper anonymously through a double-blind peer review process.
The papers should not have been published before. Works currently under peer review should not be published either online or in print prior to the annual meeting of TAOM.
Authors are expected to meticulously conduct the design of their studies, establish a theoretical framework, adhere to ethical standards in data collection and analysis, objectively present their findings, and engage in a discussion regarding the results and the study’s contribution to the field. Research precision involves careful planning, implementation, analysis, and interpretation of results, along with the retention of data. The research should include a conclusion that highlights the strengths and weaknesses of the findings.
During the sessions where authors present their papers, they are expected to actively participate in discussions and respond thoughtfully to questions from the audience.
Turkish Academy Management promotes an atmosphere during TAOM 2025 that fosters open dialogue and constructive critique. Members are encouraged to willingly share their research findings and viewpoints with fellow members.
If TAOM2025 participants take on responsibilities such as presenting papers, chairing sessions, or participating as discussants or panelists, it is expected that they fulfill these roles. In the event that a member is unable to attend the annual meeting, they are expected to promptly communicate with the conference organizing committee. Failure to do so may result in the enforcement of the TAOM No-Show Policy.
After the submission deadline, no changes can be made to the title, author names, abstract, or content of the manuscript.
NOTE: Submission of papers to the TAOM2025 Annual Meeting does not require TAOM membership. However, if a paper is accepted, authors must register for the TAOM2025 Annual Meeting, and all participants attending the TAOM2025 must be members of TAOM. Please click for membership

2. Submission for Paper Development Workshop
The purpose of the Paper Development Workshop (PDW) is to guide and support authors in improving their work for submission to high-impact journals. PDW is considered a valuable opportunity for authors to benefit from the experiences and expertise of other senior academics and discussants. In this context, TAOM 2025 invites researchers at all levels, including doctoral students and early-career academics, to actively participate in this workshop.
The main difference between PDWs and standard paper presentation sessions is their exclusive focus on paper development. These workshops are considered significant platforms that facilitate in-depth discussions and constructive feedback aimed at enhancing the quality and publication potential of the submitted papers.
Each paper to be presented in a session is paired with senior discussant(s), who has prior publications, peer-reviewing, or editorial experience in high-impact journals. The author, while submitting the proposal, will indicate the relevant Interest Group (IG). The IG will then select the appropriate senior discussant(s) for the paper. Senior discussant(s) undertakes the task of reviewing the fellow researcher’s paper and providing written feedback before the TAOM 2025 meeting. This allows for more in-depth discussions during the presentation session.
Submission Process:
To submit your work, please select one of the IGs. We recommend reviewing the PDW call and ensuring that your submission aligns with this year’s meeting theme. Submissions should be presented in a single document (in either Turkish or English) following the guidelines below:
Page 1: Title Page
Title of the paper
The abstract should be a maximum of 200 words. It should encompass the design of the research, theoretical background, data collection and analysis, findings, conclusions, and the contribution to the field. Papers can be written in Turkish or English. For papers in Turkish, English version of the abstract and key words should also be included.
Page 2 onwards: The paper to be developed should be prepared with a minimum of 3000 words, including tables, figures, and references.
Uploading Submissions:
Papers must be uploaded in PDF format.
An Interest Group (IG) must be selected.
For further assistance with the submission process or specific questions, please feel free to reach out to us. We eagerly await your suggestions.

3. Proposal Submission for Presentation Symposium
A Presentation Symposium entails a pre-prepared series of presentations on a theme or topic related to the field of Management and Organization. The symposium allows for the exploration and discussion of different perspectives on a theme or topic through the viewpoints of various researchers, providing a comprehensive examination. The symposium typically consists of at least three and at most five presenters, with one presenter serving as the session chair. The title of the symposium is associated with each presentation’s title. Presentations may involve multiple authors, and each author’s name is listed in the symposium program.
The session chair is responsible for preparing the content of the symposium proposal and uploading it to the TAOM 2025 submission center. An Interest Group (IG) can either solely sponsor the symposium or up to three IGs can sponsor it collectively.
Please prepare your Presentation Symposium proposal in accordance with the following guidelines:
Submission Process:
The proposal should be submitted in a single document (in either Turkish or English) following the guidelines below: Title page (1 page), summary of symposium (3-6 pages), presentations (each 2-5 pages).
Tittle Page:
Title of the Presentation Symposium
Full names and affiliations of all participating authors
List of relevant IG groups (up to 3 IGs)
Summary of the Presentation Symposium (3-6 pages):
Explain why the topic of the symposium would be of interest to potential IGs. Specify the objectives, features, and methodology of the proposed symposium (min. 100-max. 400 words).
Provide short biographies of the presenting researchers (min. 100-max. 200 words).
Provide at least five keywords.
Describe how you have planned the 90-minute format of the symposium (number of speakers, discussion, Q&A, etc.) – max. 200 words.
Presentations (2- 5 pages):
Request authors to submit presentations comprising a maximum of 5 pages, excluding references, tables, and figures. An additional 2-page allowance may be provided exclusively for tables and figures.
An example of the symposium (90 minutes) could be structured as follows:
Brief introduction to the topic and participants (5 minutes)
Presentations (each lasting 5-10 minutes)
Moderated group discussion (20-30 minutes)
Audience questions/comments (25 minutes)
Concluding remarks from the presenters (20-30 minutes)
Uploading Submissions:
Proposals must be uploaded in PDF format.
For the symposium proposal, apart from TAOM 2025 theme, a maximum of 3 (three) potential IGs should be selected.
Review Process:
The symposiums at TAOM 2025 undergo a single-blind peer review, where reviewers are aware of the authors’ identities, while the authors remain unaware of the reviewers’ identities. Once the deadline for TAOM 2025 submissions has passed, no alterations can be made to the submitted panel proposals.
Please note:
All authors participating the symposiums are required to register for the TAOM 2025 Annual Meeting. Prior to registration, they must also become members of the Turkish Academy of Management. You should also obtain confirmation of participation from all authors for the Presentation Symposium. Upon acceptance of your symposium proposal, you are accountable for overseeing the session, coordinating participants, and ensuring the seamless execution of the symposium, which includes preparing essential resources before the event. Any discrepancies or problems should be promptly communicated to the TAOM 2025 Program Committee.
