Practical Information
· Travel to Hungary
In most cases, you will need a valid passport or identity card to enter Hungary, depending on your citizenship. Hungary is a member of the Schengen Area, which allows visa-free travel for short stays (up to 90 days within a 180-day period) for citizens of many countries.

- Great Market Hall (Nagyvásárcsarnok):
Located just a short walk from the university, this iconic 19th-century building is Budapest’s largest indoor market. Here, visitors can explore Hungarian specialties, local produce, and souvenirs.
- Liberty Bridge (Szabadság híd):
A stunning green suspension bridge connecting Buda and Pest. Just a few minutes' walk from the university, it offers picturesque views of the Danube River and Gellért Hill.
- Bálna Budapest (The Whale):
A modern cultural and shopping center located along the Danube, this architectural gem features restaurants, galleries, and shops. It’s less than 5 minutes from the venue.
- Gellért Hill and Citadella:
Visible across the Liberty Bridge, this historic hilltop offers panoramic views of the city and a visit-worthy fortress. It’s about 15 minutes away by foot or public transport.
- Váci Street (Váci utca):
One of Budapest’s most famous pedestrian streets, lined with shops, cafes, and restaurants. A short walk from the venue, it leads toward the city center.
- Danube Promenade (Duna Korzó):
A riverside walkway offering scenic views of the Buda Castle and the Chain Bridge, perfect for a leisurely stroll after events at the university.
· Power plug, socket & mains voltage in Hungary
An appropriate travel plug adapter is needed to fit into the local sockets (F type).
· Your Presentation on a USB
Please save your presentation on a USB drive and bring it with you to your paper session at the TAOM2025.
· AV at the Campus
All rooms are equipped with PC and display screens.
· Internet Access
You can benefit from wireless internet service at the points where you see the “Corvinus Events” internet signal (in the Conference and Meeting halls of our ’C’ building) without needing to contact any unit. By following the steps in the guide below, you can easily connect to the internet in the entire building.

· Eduroam
Eduroam is a free, global Wi-Fi service available for students and university staff. You can also use it at many universities around the world. If you are visiting from a university which uses Eduroam, you can connect to the network here using your own university login credentials:

Morning and afternoon tea and coffee breaks will be served in the room CVIII. ’C’ building.
Lunch (hot and cold savory food) will be served in rooms CVIII and [*] every day.
· Other Dining Options
The Corvinus University of Budapest (‘C’ Building), located at Közraktár u. 4-6, offers several dining facilities for visitors and students:
· Campus Canteen (Planet): A convenient dining hall within the university offering a variety of affordable meal options.
· Coffee and Snack Bars: Multiple coffee and snack kiosks are located inside and around the campus for quick bites and beverages.
· Vending Machines: Available throughout the campus, providing snacks, hot drinks, and cold refreshments.
Additionally, the surrounding area has a wide range of local dining options:
· Great Market Hall (Nagyvásárcsarnok): Just a 5-minute walk, offering traditional Hungarian dishes and quick meals.
· Nearby Restaurants and Cafés: The streets around Közraktár utca and Fővám tér are lined with various eateries catering to diverse tastes, from Hungarian cuisine to international dishes.
· Waste and Recycling on Campus
Bins are available in all buildings across campus, clearly labeled and color-coded. Please use them to keep our campus clean and tidy.
Welfare/Respite areas
We have a terrace available in our building to have fresh air.
